An ergonomic office chair supports your spine through a full workday and prevents the aches that come from a poorly fitted seat. The adjustments that matter most are lumbar support, seat height, armrest position, and recline tension, since a chair that fits your body reduces strain far better than padding alone. Check seat depth and width too, because a seat that is too deep pushes you forward and undoes the back support. These chairs suit anyone who sits for hours and wants to protect their back and shoulders over the long run. They are the single most worthwhile upgrade for a home office used daily. Prioritize adjustability that matches your height and build, and if you can, favor chairs with independent lumbar and armrest settings so the fit adapts to you rather than the other way around.
