# Best Ring Lights for Video Calls and WFH (2026) Source: https://deskupgradenest.com/best/ring-lights-for-wfh Updated: 2026-09-15 Publisher: Desk Upgrade Nest. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://deskupgradenest.com/how-we-research#our-score A ring light gives your face soft, even lighting on video calls and recordings, filling in shadows so you look clear and awake rather than dim or backlit. Size and mounting come first. A compact clip-on ring light attaches to a laptop or monitor for quick calls, while a larger stand or clamp-mounted ring gives more even light for recording and streaming. Look for adjustable brightness and color temperature so you can match your room and skin tone, and a phone or camera holder if you record on a device. Placement and power decide how usable it is day to day. A clamp arm lets you position the light at eye level in front of you, which is more flattering than lighting from below or the side. USB power keeps things simple, and flicker-free output matters for smooth video. This suits people on frequent video calls, content creators and streamers, and anyone whose room lighting leaves them in shadow. If you just need general desk light rather than face light, a standard lamp or light bar is a better choice. ## Picks ### 1.
